This policy describes the behavior of the packaged Signalframe Android app and the static website files delivered with it. A future publisher or web host may add services outside this package; those additions require their own review and an updated policy before release.
01 / Boundary
The boundary of this policy
This policy covers the Signalframe app identified by the title shown in the interface and the two static pages contained in its website package. It covers the app-authored research-literacy content, saved-frame controls, seen marks, and five-frame sequence.
It does not claim to describe every device setting, app store, operating-system service, backup service, network provider, browser, web host, or future publisher tool that may surround the package. Those systems operate under their own terms and privacy practices.
02 / Audience
Who the app is for
Signalframe is a general-audience educational experience for people who want to read brain-research claims, study summaries, personal stories, or participation invitations more carefully. It is not designed as a patient portal, clinician workspace, school record, research enrollment system, or confidential communication channel.
03 / Purpose
Educational purpose, not care
The app provides questions, observations, boundaries, and documentary scenes intended to support research literacy. It does not diagnose a condition, predict an outcome, recommend treatment, interpret an individual scan, offer emergency guidance, match a person to a clinical trial, or replace informed discussion with a qualified professional.
Do not enter or rely on personal medical information in Signalframe. The app has no field designed to receive it.
04 / Collection
What Signalframe does not collect
The packaged app contains no registration form, contact form, free-text journal, camera intake, microphone capture, file upload, location intake, payment flow, donation flow, or server submission. It does not request a name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, birthday, diagnosis, treatment history, research-participant status, or other identifying profile.
The static website contains no form, cookie banner, embedded media player, analytics script, or account surface. The website package itself does not transmit a response back to Rohiths Foundation.
05 / Local state
The local field archive
When you choose to save a frame, mark a frame as seen, or add a frame to your five-frame cut, Signalframe stores only the corresponding internal frame identifiers in the app's private preferences on that Android device. The content of each frame is already bundled with the app.
This local state is used to redraw your archive and sequence the next time the app opens. Signalframe does not attach those identifiers to a person, send them to a server, or use them to build an advertising profile.
06 / Sensitive data
Sensitive and health information
Signalframe does not ask for, classify, infer, or transmit health information, disability status, genetic information, precise location, government identifiers, financial information, biometrics, contacts, photographs, or communications. Its brain-research subject matter is educational content; viewing a frame does not create a health record.
If you place sensitive information into another app, a screenshot annotation, a device backup, or an operating-system service, that action is outside Signalframe's designed input surface.
07 / Permissions
Device permissions
The release app does not request runtime access to the camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, location, nearby devices, notifications, photos, files, phone state, accessibility service, advertising identifier, or health-data provider. It does not need those permissions to display its bundled content or maintain the local archive.
08 / Accounts
Accounts and identity
Signalframe has no sign-in, user account, social profile, password, cloud identity, synchronization service, or cross-device account recovery. The app cannot recognize the same person across devices.
Any identity used by an app store to download the app belongs to that store environment and is not made available to the packaged Signalframe app through its own code.
09 / Observation
Analytics, ads, and profiling
The packaged app includes no analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, advertising SDK, behavioral-tracking pixel, attribution SDK, engagement recorder, session replay, recommendation service, or personalized-content engine. It displays no ads and sells no attention inventory.
Signalframe does not count which frames you open for Rohiths Foundation or a third party. The seen count displayed inside the app is calculated locally from your device state.
10 / Network
Offline and network behavior
The Android release does not declare Internet access and contains its educational text and photography inside the app. Opening, navigating, saving, marking, sequencing, and erasing work without a network connection.
The separate website is made of static local files. If a publisher later hosts those files, the host and ordinary Internet infrastructure may technically receive an IP address, browser details, requested path, and timestamp to deliver the page or maintain security. No such hosting service is embedded in this ZIP, and no live host is claimed by this policy.
11 / Sharing
Sharing, sale, and disclosure
Because the packaged app does not send personal data to Rohiths Foundation, it has no app-collected personal data to sell, rent, trade, or disclose to data brokers, advertisers, analytics providers, or research partners. It contains no social-posting or export function.
If a device owner takes a screenshot, uses operating-system sharing, transfers the device, or includes the app in a device backup, that is an action by the device owner or platform rather than a Signalframe disclosure.
12 / Retention
Retention and erasure
Saved-frame identifiers, seen marks, and the five-frame cut remain in the app's private local preferences until you erase the local archive, clear the app's storage through Android, or uninstall the app. Signalframe sets no remote retention period because it operates no remote account or app data store.
The in-app Erase local archive action removes the saved, seen, and sequence preferences together. It does not uninstall the bundled educational content.
13 / Children
Children and family use
Signalframe is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from children. It has no registration, messaging, upload, or targeted-advertising feature. Families may read the general educational content together, but the app is not a substitute for age-appropriate professional guidance.
A parent or guardian controls installation, device access, screenshots, backups, and other platform features available to a child on the device.
14 / Security
The security model
Signalframe reduces exposure by avoiding accounts, network transmission, sensitive inputs, broad permissions, third-party SDKs, and remote databases. Android's app sandbox protects the local preferences under normal device operation.
No local design can promise absolute security. A compromised, rooted, shared, unlocked, backed-up, or physically accessed device may expose local application state. Device owners should use current operating-system updates and an appropriate screen lock.
15 / Controls
Controls in your hands
You can use the app without creating an identity, decline to save any frame, remove individual frames from the five-frame cut, clear the entire local archive, clear app storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. The educational archive remains readable even when the personal local archive is empty.
You can also use Android's display and text settings. Signalframe does not require motion, audio, camera, or microphone interaction to reach its core content.
16 / External limits
Sources and professional guidance
The app itself contains no live external links and does not fetch changing health or research information. Its documentary prompts are general educational material, not a current evidence database or a personalized interpretation service.
This website may identify public records or public educational sources so readers can understand the boundary of the project. Visiting an external website is governed by that site's privacy practices. Questions about symptoms, treatment, participation, consent, or safety should go to an appropriately qualified professional or the responsible study team.
17 / Changes
Changes to this policy
If a future release adds network access, accounts, permissions, forms, uploads, analytics, advertising, payments, remote storage, or another material behavior, the publisher should update this policy before distributing that release and identify a new effective date.
A wording change does not authorize a new behavior by itself. The app's actual code, manifest, bundled services, store disclosures, and policy should be reviewed together.
18 / Contact
Contact and publisher details
The public records used to establish the Rohiths Foundation identity did not provide a verified support email or public app-privacy contact, and this package does not invent one. The app contains no in-app messaging route.
For a distributed copy, use the publisher support channel shown on the app-store listing or the page from which you obtained Signalframe. If that distribution surface provides no support channel, no verified electronic contact is represented by this package. A publisher should add its controlled support details consistently to the listing and this policy before public release.
